How to measure a cam?

1. Straight Cam

x – is always 8mm and applies to all cams.

A- is the length of the cam as measured from the center of the mounting hole to the cam edge as shown. This is the only measurement needed when ordering.

2. Notched Cam

X – is always 8mm and applies to all cams.

A – is the length of the cam as measured from the center of the mounting hole to the straight edge of the notch as shown. This is the only measurement needed when ordering.

B – is always 6mm and applies to all notched cams.

3. Bent Cam

x – is always 8mm and applies to all cams.

A – is the height of the bend and is measured as shown – in this case 3mm (1st number of the code).

B – is the length of the cam as measured from the center of the mounting hole to the cam edge as shown – in this case 40mm (2nd number of the code).

C – is the distance from the center of the mounting hole to the bend as shown – in this case 13mm (3rd number of the code). Please note – this measurement can never be less than 11mm.

D – is the angle of the bend in this case 45 degrees (4th number of the code). Please note – this angle can only be either 45 degrees or 90 degrees.
